ALMH Market Talk & Taste with Tony Curcuru on Saturday, June 16
At 9:30am this Saturday, June 16, community members are invited to join Tony Curcuru at The ALMH Market for a discussion of his travels through the Italian countryside. Samples of three authentic Italian dishes that he learned to make during his 7-month food and farming journey through Italy will be available. Participants will have a chance to win one of five gift certificates to Sorrento’s, Tony’s family restaurant in downtown Lincoln.
Although walk-ins are welcome at the event, samples are limited. Interested individuals are encouraged to sign up on the Facebook event page at www.facebook.com/thealmhmarket, or by calling 217-605-5701.
Also on Saturday June 16, a free family yoga class will be taught on the ALMH Wellness Trail at 200 Stahlhut Drive. Participants should meet at the ALMH Woods Café patio at 8:30am. The class will be taught by Caitlin Lore and is open to all ages. Participants will earn a coupon for market tokens that can be redeemed at The ALMH Market on June 16.
As the premiere indoor, producer-only market in central Illinois, The ALMH Market has become a wellness destination like no other. The producer-only designation ensures that all items offered at The Market will be homegrown, handmade, and/or vendor-created from locally owned operations within the state of Illinois. Free admission, free parking, and several free activities take place at The Market including free health screenings and the kid-friendly Power of Produce Club and a LINK card matching program. The ALMH Market takes place each Saturday from 8am-12pm at the Logan County Fairgrounds until September 29.
