ALMH Hosts Love Yourself Enough: A Ladies Night Out

Women take care of their families oftentimes to the point of ignoring their own physical, spiritual and/or emotional needs. On May 10 from 5:30pm-8:30pm, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital hopes to remind Logan County women that you can’t take care of others unless you take care of yourself. And so, for the sixth year, ALMH is hosting a free Ladies Night Out, “Love Yourself Enough” to Logan County women aged 21 and over.

“Ladies Night Out has become a very popular event for local women. Each year we have a waiting list of individuals who aren’t able to attend. We are thrilled to announce a new venue this year that will allow us to offer the event to even more women,” said Angela Stoltzenburg, ALMH Community Health Collaborative director.

The doors will open at 5:30pm with a buffet dinner to be served at 6:00pm. Keynote speaker, Jill Savage, is scheduled to address the topic of “Taking Care of Me” at 7:00pm. Savage is a nationally known author and speaker and breast cancer survivor. She believes that we should all give up on trying to be “perfect.” She is known for her passion to encourage others. Angela Stoltzenburg will also share current local health initiatives of the ALMH Community Health Collaborative.

“Women have a tremendous impact on their families and so we have to remember to take care ourselves. When we are physically healthy and healthy-minded we can create healthy families. Our Love Yourself Enough event puts the focus on them, provides education and inspiration, and an opportunity to enjoy a night out that nourishes our friendships and sense of community,” said Stoltzenburg.

The event is funded by the ALMH Foundation and hosted by the ALMH Auxiliary. To learn more about the ALMH Foundation, visit ALMH.org/foundation.

Space is limited and reservations are required. To reserve a spot for the event online, visit the community section of ALMH.org (https://www.almh.org/Community/Ladies-Night-Out) or call 217-605-5007.
