Prom Time and Underage Drinking

    It’s not uncommon for parents to worry about underage drinking and their teenager’s safety on the road, especially on prom night. And the prom season is upon us. Healthy Communities Partnership reminds the community about the local DrunkStopper program as a way to be proactive and keep our children and our streets safer on prom night and every night of the year.

    Bike Rodeo in Downtown Lincoln on May 19

    The Abraham Lincoln Legacy Trail group and Healthy Communities Partnership is working toward safe trails for non-motorized activities and improved cycling opportunities in Logan County. As part of their efforts, they are bringing a bike rodeo for young cyclists to downtown Lincoln on Friday, May 19 from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

    Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital reminds expecting families that each month it offers a free prenatal class. The next 3-hour class will be held Sunday, April 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The class will be held in Steinfort A at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

    Vicky Bell has been named the March Employee of the Month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Bell has worked as the nursing administrative assistant in the nursing administration at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 16 years.

    Eric Dunn of Springfield was been named the February Employee of the Month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Dunn has worked as a Registered Nurse in the acute care department at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital for 15 years.

    Rigg Named January ALMH Employee of the Month

    At the age of 17 Hazel Rigg was working in a long term care facility and immediately knew that she wanted to be a nurse. She completed her nursing degree after high school and now has a nursing career that includes experience in a variety of settings such as long term care, physician offices and hospital intensive care units. Rigg currently works in the acute care department at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, Illinois.

    The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Farmers Market Reopens May 13

    The Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce a return of their initiative to improve the health of the people and communities in Logan and eastern Mason County. The ALMH Market will reopen on Saturday, May 13 and continue rain or shine on Saturdays through September 30.

    It’s a Boy! ALMH Welcomes First Baby of 2017

    Cody and Monica Baker of Lincoln welcomed their first child precisely on his due date, January 1. And with that, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital proudly welcomed its first baby of 2017. Baby boy Landon Andrew Baker arrived at 2:25am weighing 9 pounds, 5 ounces and measuring 19 ¼ inches long at birth.

    Oesterlein Named ALMH Employee of the Month

    Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital has announced Anett Oesterlein of Pekin as the December Employee of the Month. Oesterlein joined the ALMH laboratory department in April 2012 and serves as a medical laboratory technician.
