In an effort to lower the risk to our community, blood drives held throughout Memorial Health System will only be open to colleagues at this time. If you would like to donate, please contact the Central Illinois Community Blood Center to schedule a donation.
Memorial Medical Center is proud to partner with the Central Illinois Community Blood Center (CICBC) to host numerous blood drives throughout the year.
Donating blood is safe and easy. All blood donated at Memorial Medical Center goes to patients in central Illinois needing blood transfusions.
According to the CICBC website, you must be 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds and be in good health to donate blood. To determine if you are eligible to donate, you will be asked to answer donor screening questions, have a confidential evaluation of your responses and an evaluation of your vital signs.
For more information on donating blood, visit the Central Illinois Community Blood Center's website or call 800-747-5401.
